Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue to join our fast-paced and growing finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of ensuring revenue is accurately recognized and reported in compliance with GAAP and ASC 606, while driving process improvements that support the scale and complexity of a high-growth eCommerce environment.

This position goes beyond routine accounting—it’s an opportunity to influence how we build scalable revenue operations. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Sales to provide insights that enhance decision-making and ensure smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements, while maintaining strong internal controls. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Review revenue related arrangements for compliance with US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
  • Assist in the quarterly and year-end audit process, actively working with external auditors to ensure that the interpretation of revenue recognition accounting standards is consistent and compliant with US GAAP ASC 606 
  • Analyze revenue performance and analytics to identify risks and opportunities for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with key controls in the order to cash cycle, accurate GAAP reporting, audit requirements, and external reporting requirements
  • Prepare and complete monthly revenue accounting close efforts, including but not limited to daily cash balancing, customer rebate accruals, and deferred revenue reconciliation.
  • Monitor, recommend, and implement improvements to current methodologies & practices
  • Work closely with other finance team members and cross functional departments such as Sales, FP&A, Product Management and Legal

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, including technical knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements
  • Strong analytical and investigative mindset
  • Data mining and troubleshooting data feeds to provide recommendations for short-term and long-term system solutions and process improvements
  • Critical thinker, strong problem solver, and independent worker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment
  • MS Office – Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Google Sheets/Slides

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • CPA Preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite System
