Job Description:

The Role

As the Senior Account Manager, play a leading role in your client's day to day relationships, guiding junior team members. You will own the development of implementation planning across Dentsu and contribute to the development of strategic plans.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to strategy development. Providing relevant data and insights from agency, industry and client sources

  • For some clients, take ownership of presentation decks and ensure all Dentsu contributions ladder up to the overall message and are consistent

  • Receive client briefs and translate client brief into detailed internal brief (using CCS Planner) which is used to brief all DAN specialist areas: AV, Offline, Display, Paid Social, PPC, Partnership's clients are meeting their profitability targets

  • Be the main contact with specialists as they ask questions around the brief

  • Collate the specialist media plans into an overall composite plan with accompanying rationale (client presentation if relevant)

  • Liaise with all specialists to ensure all media plans are accurate

  • For some clients, oversee any changes of strategy and media plan between client and specialists

Client Management

  • Be the main day to day point of contact for clients and have the ability to understand client requirements, assess if it is within scope (liaising with BD if required), and decide the most effective way to answer the question

  • Be able to answer client questions on all specialist areas (PPC, Display, Paid Social, AV, Partnerships) and only involve specialists with clients when there is a real need to do so

  • Manage and provide weekly reporting for client, with ability to translate performance results into actionable insights, whilst investigating and adapting plans based on results

  • Manage PCA process – build out structure and brief your team and specialists on the requirements – be responsible for identify the key learnings

  • Deliver client updates, market updates and competitive insights

  • Ensure that MX codes have been set up and follow the naming and structure conventions. Ensure all are communicated to relevant specialists, including relevant PO numbers

Team

  • Share knowledge and skill set with wider team

  • Ensure that the AEs are skilled up and supporting with training as required

Operational Finance

  • Manage finance process across relevant accounts

  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to our clients

  • Ensure media plans match MX and invoices are accurate

  • Assist central finance team by working with clients to resolve late payment

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of the specialist areas within,  particularly digital channels

  • Strong Digital Media experience with a good understanding of offline media, and how they work together

  • Ability to interpret data and performance results into actionable recommendations. Strong measurement capabilities including ability to use and garner insights from GA4, DCM and other paid media tools such as Business Managers

  • Continually optimise paid activity to ensure campaigns meet KPIs and targets

  • The ability to write a clear and detailed brief

  • Ability to project manage as internal briefs move through the organisation

  • Be a confident presenter

  • Be client focused and build relationships

  • Bring strategic rigour and viewpoint

  • Ability to sell ideas and approaches to clients

  • Strong Excel skills & PowerPoint skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • Comfortable with data and have the ability to pull out relevant insights

  • Quality decision making

  • Commercial understanding

  • Experience of being primary contact on client accounts

  • Strong digital experience

  • To be able to work collaboratively and to take and give direction as required

  • Some experience of managing others

  • Broad media knowledge

  • Experience managing planning processes across multiple media
