We are looking for a Sales Manager Europe to create long-term, trusting relationships with our Customers in Europe. The Bloom Energy Sales Manager Europe’s role is to develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities for the entire Bloom Energy products portfolio and solutions.

The Bloom Energy Sales Manager Europe will report to the Regional Sr. Sales Director and can be based either in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, or UK.

The Bloom Energy Sales Manager Europe will work closely with the regional Energy Transition Management and HQ Product Sales Team members to build a pipeline of opportunities for Bloom Energy (Bloom) and to increase penetration of Bloom’s technology and solutions in Europe. They will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, providing the product team with market intelligence information and expanding our market share in the power generation industry and H2 market.  They will be also responsible for penetration of Bloom’s technology into the data-centers and real estate market segments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with Customers in Europe at any level
  • Overseeing Customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit for Bloom Energy
  • Work as a Sales Lead for Bloom opportunities that have been identified in the assigned region following the Bloom commercial processes and leadership inputs.
  • Lead the development of full value proposition for Customers on Bloom’s technology and Bloom’s solution’s offerings.
  • Work with leadership, Energy Transition Management and HQ Product Sales Team to interface with Customers and influence Customers towards Bloom technology.
  • Lead internal efforts of proposal on-time creation as well as the development of new market opportunities for Bloom technology.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to Customer needs and objectives
  • Partner with Customers to develop the deals/projects and work with HQ Product Sales Team and Commercial Team members to win new orders.
  • Work on regional partnership landscape and structure special and complex transactions.
  • Clearly and transparently communicate the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to the Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadership
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with the Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadership to identify and grow opportunities within the assigned region
  • Assist with challenging Customer’s requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes and/or services
  • Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision making processes
  • Provide the Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadership with competitive information about market dynamic in line and compliance with the Bloom Energy policies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • Conducting business adhering to the highest standards of compliance and sustainability, and Bloom Energy policies
  • Minimum 10 years work experience in Sales (as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role) or Commercial Operations
  • Strong knowledge of the European power generation market, including key players, regulations, and Customer requirements.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Strong ability to understand Customer’s needs and specs and delivering Customer’s focused solutions with high value for Customer and Bloom Energy
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to the details
  • Excellent active listening and negotiation capabilities abilities
