In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in process development, troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement for production processes and equipment. Your expertise will directly impact operational reliability, minimizing downtime while optimizing performance. Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage spares, stock levels and inventory system.
  • Take ownership of equipment spares and services procurement via the site SAP Ariba system and be the SME for SAP Maintenance Modules and SAP CMMS front end application
  • Work closely with engineering group and external vendors to ensure spare parts availability. 
  • Manage maintenance documentation and ensure accuracy and cGMP compliance.
  • Generation and distribution of maintenance schedule and preventative maintenance work orders to relevant key stakeholders.
  • Analyse line data, machine downtime, reoccurring issues and spares usage and compile reliability reports on equipment performance to cross functional teams to aid decision making and optimise line OEE.
  • Compiling preventive maintenance metrics and report out to quality scorecard.
  • Review preventive maintenance activities and task lists on a regular basis and as part of annual review for effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance and help drive improvement of machine reliability.
  • Drive process improvements through identification of problem areas/opportunities and collaborate with internal groups and external vendors using Lean / Six Sigma and project management techniques.
  • Liaise with R&D teams as required, providing design for manufacture input on component / assembly development projects.
  • Provide support to operations, optimising existing processes as needed to ensure that engineering work orders / production related goals are met.
  • Provide guidance and input to process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (pFMEA)

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role in medical device or other highly regulated industry
  • Background in optimizing maintenance programs desired
  • Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Experience with CMMS, SAP Maintenance modules
  • Process optimisation with strong background in design of experiments advantageous
  • High speed automation experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and data analysis applications
  •  Knowledge of root cause analysis tools such as 5Why, Ishikawa and DMAIC
