Release Train Engineer / Developer
About the role
We are hiring a Release Train Engineer / Developer with strong mainframe skills to coordinate and deliver releases across a
major lending platform built on FIS ALS. This is a
delivery-and-coordination role at the centre of the programme: you will
orchestrate the release train across development, testing, infrastructure and
business teams, and act as the communication bridge between Product Management,
Product Owners, Scrum Teams, business users and leadership.
Responsibilities
Release coordination
- Coordinate release
schedules across ALS development, testing, infrastructure and business
teams.
- Plan and orchestrate
SIT, UAT, Pre-Production and Production deployment activities.
- Manage ALS upgrades,
patches and vendor (FIS) releases.
- Ensure regulatory and
compliance-related changes are delivered on schedule.
ALS-specific delivery
- Coordinate change across
ALS modules: Loan Origination, Credit Administration, Commercial Lending,
Loan Servicing, and interfaces with Core Banking and Treasury systems.
- Collaborate with
FIS/vendor support teams, business SMEs, testing teams and infrastructure
teams.
- Manage code promotion,
environment readiness and cut-over planning.
Communication & governance
- Act as the bridge
between Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Teams, business users
and leadership.
- Track dependencies,
risks and readiness across the release train; represent changes at
change-approval forums (CAB).
Requirements
Essential skills

the technology underpinning ALS).
- Experience coordinating releases across dev, test, infrastructure and business teams.
- Hands-on planning of SIT
/ UAT / Pre-Prod / Production deployments and cut-over.
- Exposure to FIS ALS or a comparable lending / core-banking platform.
- Change and configuration
management (e.g. Endevor / Changeman), scheduling (Control-M / CA7),
Connect:Direct.
- Comfortable managing
tiered environments (Dev / Test / UAT / Pre-Prod / Production / DR).
Desirable
- Release Train Engineer experience in a SAFe /
Agile environment (PI planning, scrum-of-scrums).
- Lending domain knowledge
(loan origination, servicing, commercial lending, credit).
- Experience with vendor
release cycles and patch management on a packaged banking product.
- Core Banking and
Treasury interface integration experience.
Benefits
What we offer
- Long-term engagement on
a high-visibility lending transformation.
- Hybrid (Dublin) or
remote-first nearshore working.
