Role Purpose

We are looking for a Relationship Consultant to join our Partnerships team.

The Relationship Consultant is responsible for developing and strengthening strategic relationships across Ireland's public sector. This role is focused on opening doors, creating opportunities, and establishing Cornmarket as a trusted partner within workplaces where access can be challenging.

Success in this position is measured by the ability to build strong networks, secure introductions, generate leads for the Wellbeing team, and identify commercial opportunities that contribute to the wider business. This is a highly autonomous role requiring someone who is proactive, resilient, commercially aware, and motivated by achieving results.

Accountabilities of the Role

  • Develop and execute a strategy to build relationships within public sector organisations.

  • Identify, engage, and gain access to workplaces that have traditionally been difficult to penetrate.

  • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and employee representatives.

  • Generate leads for the Wellbeing team by arranging events, presentations, and initiatives with the relationship managers and team.

  • Identify and convert appropriate commercial opportunities, contributing new business revenue.

  • Represent Cornmarket professionally at workplace events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with the partnerships manager and across internal teams to ensure opportunities are maximised and client experiences are seamless.

  • Comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role

  • Maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

Essential

  • QFA required upon commencement in the role

  • Proven experience in relationship management, business development, account management, or sales.

  • Strong networking and influencing skills.

  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Highly organised with strong planning and time management abilities.

  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel.

  • Knowledge of risk control & the regulatory environment within Financial Services

  • Commercial awareness

Desirable

  • Experience working in a business development role.

  • Knowledge of employee benefits, financial services, or workplace wellbeing programmes.

Controlled Function

This role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity.
