The Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s cloud-first strategy.


The Cloud Infrastructure Operations finance team is seeking a finance manager to partner with the data center operations team in EMEA, providing COGS and Capex financial leadership and transparency for Microsoft’s cloud operations in the region.

Responsibilities

The role requires a high degree of agility and skill in navigating multiple senior stakeholder requirements while enabling the accelerated growth aspirations for the business in a highly competitive market environment. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated and be curious in learning.

  • Business partnership: Act as a strategic and trusted advisor to the data center operation leaders in EMEA to influence business direction, operational support, and investment models.
  • Analytical: Model and analyze key strategic drivers to influence and drive future year planning decisions and strategic activities, specifically in relation data center operations.  Monitor trends and key drivers, proactively recommending course of action.
  • Finance rhythms of business: Own orchestrating budget, forecasts, LRP, monthly close, and workforce planning, in alignment with corporate and MSIO timelines for the EMEA region. Communicate required deliverables clearly and facilitate reviews with senior leaders in a timely manner. 
  • Controls and compliance: Ensure monthly financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with company policies. Ensure adequate internal controls are in place.
  • Process improvement: Continuously improve processes to drive automation, efficiency, prioritization, and cross team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with manager to identify high impact projects that will drive business success and align to your personal development goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications;


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including: analysis, forecasting, planning, reporting, and developing financial models.


Preferred Qualifications;


  • Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organization, and creating effecting partnerships. Ability to achieve results through both individual and cross team efforts, to manage multiple projects at the same time, and to work effectively under deadline constraints.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Problem-solving attitude. Experience in influencing decisions and developing strategic plans. Ability to "think outside the box" and not be hindered by how things have been done in the past.
  • Go Getter. Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic. Self-directed, resourceful and willing to roll-up sleeves as needed. Proven ability to drive projects and analysis to closure in a collaborative and matrixed environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications translating financial analysis and insights into meaningful and actionable business communications and recommendations
  • Excellent Excel and Office skills
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related degrees

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Ireland is € 80,000.00 - € 136,400.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
