Job Description

What You’ll Do as a Product Technologist    

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

 

  • Lead the technical development and quality assurance of womenswear products across multiple product categories, ensuring products are safe, compliant, fit for purpose, and commercially viable across all price points.
  • Partner closely with Buying, Design, Compliance, and supplier teams to translate creative concepts into high-quality products, leveraging expertise in garment construction, fit, patterns, testing, and product development.
  • Drive quality standards through robust risk assessment, testing evaluation, product approvals, and competitor benchmarking, ensuring all products meet Primark quality and legal requirements.
  • Monitor product performance through testing submissions, returns analysis, customer feedback, and supplier reporting, identifying risks early and delivering effective corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong supplier partnerships by leading quality discussions, resolving technical and quality issues, driving process efficiencies, and supporting compliance with Primark quality standards.
  • Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels through effective communication, training, and presentations, promoting a culture of quality excellence while supporting the womenswear Quality strategy and improving sampling success rates.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth by seeking development opportunities, sharing knowledge, and building capability across the wider team.
