What will you do? 

At BearingPoint, our Product Owners are involved in all aspects of the design of IT solutions. You will work closely with clients, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders to understand business needs, define solution requirements, and ensure delivery teams remain focused on the highest-value outcomes. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for shaping and communicating the solution vision, ensuring that the client goals and priorities are understood and met, and acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must, as is a good level of technical understanding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand business priorities and facilitate workshops.
  • Support the development of business cases.
  • Analyse and document business, functional, and user requirements.
  • Conduct business process analysis and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
  • Perform data analysis to support decision-making, solution design, and benefits realisation.
  • Develop and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
  • Support project planning, progress reporting and risk identification,
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality project documentation, facilitate knowledge transfer activities and change support.
  • Deployment planning and coordination.
  • Collaboration with technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Track and measure business benefits and realisation.
About you

You will have:

  • 7 to 15 years’ experience in a similar role as a product owner, systems analyst or business analyst on large systems integration projects.
  • Third level qualification in Technology.
  • Experience facilitating workshops with large groups of stakeholders.
  • Experience specifying business requirements as user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience of working in an Agile delivery team using Agile tools, techniques and ceremonies including user stories, backlog grooming, estimation, prioritisation, sprints, retrospectives, stand-ups, Definition of Done, Definition of Ready, Scrum/Kanban etc.
  • Experience with Problem and Incident Management processes & procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good collaboration and interpersonal skills, as well as good communication and language skills in the English language (presenting, documenting, workshopping).
  • Good technical understanding, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with technical teams.
  • SQL proficiency desirable.
  • Experience of working with reporting tools such as Power BI is desirable.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, with changing priorities.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly and work across industries.
