Which team will you be joining?

You're joining our Product Marketing team that owns product positioning, launch strategy, and market adoption for Primer's core product lines. We operate as strategic partners embedded in each major domain, working alongside Product and Sales leadership to define how our products win in market. Our PMMs own end-to-end strategy and execution for a significant product area, which means your work gets seen, shaped, and acted on by senior leadership from day one. You'll report to our Product Marketing Lead and work directly with product leads, marketing leads and senior stakeholders across the business.

What will you be doing?

Core Focus: This is an individual contributor (IC) role providing end-to-end product marketing support for our newly built Partners team. This role needs attention to detail, creativity, and boldness to build out the product's market presence.

  • Own the Partner marketing engine: Driving go-to-market launches from strategy to execution, collaborating closely with the broader marketing team.

  • Work with Partner PMs and Commercial Teams to define target audiences and craft clear, compelling messaging and positioning that differentiates Primer's Partner capabilities in the market.

  • Translate technical products into messaging that lands with both partners and the merchants who benefit from them.

  • Synthesise partner and merchant feedback, sales signals, and market research into a coherent strategic perspective that shapes both messaging and GTM approach.

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, using data to optimise strategies and achieve business goals.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS marketing or product marketing experience, , with a track record of launching and growing successful B2B products.

  • Comfort turning technical product detail into messaging a non-technical buyer or partner wants to read.

  • Ability to conduct targeted competitive and buyer research and turn it into specific recommendations.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experiment-minded, taking full ownership of outcomes and driving work with minimal oversight.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Background in payments, fintech, or infrastructure products (or willingness to build that domain knowledge quickly)

  • Creative judgment - you can brief teams and agencies authoritatively and push for sharper, more unexpected ideas

  • Experience marketing in a two-sided marketplace, balancing distinct value propositions for supply-side and demand-side audiences

Why you may not like it here:

  • We move fast. A Tier 1 launch plan that takes months to build is too slow. You'll be making calls on strategy, sequencing, and messaging trade-offs on tighter timelines.

  • All roles at Primer involve hands-on execution to drive maximum impact. If you want to set direction and hand off delivery to someone else, this might not be the fit.

  • You'll work alongside sharp, opinionated stakeholders in sales and product who will pressure-test your ideas. The best PMMs here treat that pushback as a chance to sharpen their thinking with data, not as a hurdle to clear before moving on.

✅ A typical interview process
  • An initial intro call with a Talent Partner

  • An interview with the Hiring Manager

  • Challenge Stage - Contextualised to the role

  • A final, values-alignment interview

What's the culture like at Primer?

We're building a culture where people can do their best work and be proud of the impact they have. You'll be working with people who are mission-driven, smart, and reflective, and who are genuinely invested in building exceptional products and delivering success for our merchants.
We work remotely, and have done since day one. We believe that building a successful, profitable company goes beyond proximity. We invest in our relationships through great remote working practices and thoughtfully designed face-to-face time, including workations, our annual company retreat, and access to co-working spaces across most major cities.
The work is challenging. Scaleups are a challenge, and building category-defining products is a challenge. But there's a meaningful difference between a challenge and a struggle. At Primer, the right challenge comes with the right support: strong onboarding, a collaborative environment, and a team that is genuinely invested in your success. It's never something you face alone.
