The Branded Mobile App team builds Toast’s white-label mobile app product: an iOS and Android ordering app that restaurants launch under their own brand. It’s a core part of how our customers own their relationships with their most loyal guests.
We’re expanding the app well past order-ahead. That means agentic features that help operators turn casual guests into regulars, new surfaces like reservations, and loyalty enhancements to drive repeat behavior. We operate like a startup within Toast: small team, fast iteration, close to the customer. We measure ourselves on real impact to guest frequency and operator revenue.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
We’re looking for a high-performing Product Manager to own the Branded Mobile App. The ideal candidate is obsessed with understanding guest and operator needs, has a bar for craft in consumer mobile products, and thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
If you like solving hard problems, working iteratively, and owning a high visibility product end to end, this role is for you. It’s a chance for a growing product leader to build on a strong foundation and shape how restaurants own their guest relationships at scale.
Responsibilities include:
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Branded Mobile App: where the product goes, what we build next, and how it drives first-party sales and repeat guest behavior at scale.
- Ship agentic features that help operators grow guest frequency, moving new guests to repeat and casual guests to regulars.
- Expand the app into new surfaces and verticals, growing both the core use case and Toast’s addressable market.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) to define and deliver high-impact features.
- Drive deep customer empathy through interviews, usability testing, analytics, and app store feedback to make sure we’re solving real problems for restaurants and their guests.
- Use data to set priorities and measure impact, holding the product to metrics like first-party order volume, guest retention, and loyalty engagement.
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Qualities & Essential Skills)
- 3+ years of product management experience, with a track record of driving strategy, execution, and measurable impact.
- Experience with consumer-facing mobile products (iOS/Android)
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive in fast-paced environments, balance short-term results with long-term vision, and embrace iteration.
- Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights and customer outcomes.
- A bar for design and product craft, with a real understanding of what makes a mobile experience great.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and stakeholders around a shared mission.
- Bonus: experience with loyalty, ordering, marketplaces, or restaurant/hospitality technology.
