We are looking for a Procurement Manager to ensure that the procurement unit’s role enhances the company’s business needs and produces the desired cost savings.
Reporting to the Procurement Director, the role’s responsibilities include:
- Lead, train, and support a small team of Procurement agents to enhance performance and professional development;
- Contribute with best practices on creating and implementing effective procurement plans aligned with organizational goals;
- Manage demand, in collaboration with key stakeholders;
- Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers;
- Issue RFx’s for the requested commodities, based on Group’s policies;
- Evaluate proposals and negotiate cost and commercial terms;
- Gather the necessary approvals, in cooperation with legal, finance, and other departments, as needed;
- Coordinate and follow-up awards and/or contracts, to ensure time, cost and quality targets;
- Report on Procurement actions, targets and KPIs;
- Collect, analyze and interpret data;
- Analyze and update existing contracts;
- Identify risks involved with Procurement and prepare control strategies;
- Get involved in the design, implementation and optimization of procurement processes and systems;
- Ensure that procurement activities comply with policies, regulations, and ethical standards;
- Monitor market trends, prices, and new products to make informed purchasing decisions;
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy;
- Actively ensuring compliance with the Group's Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy and all applicable regulations, identifying and reporting potential risks related to bribery and corruption, and promoting ethical behavior by participating in and encouraging continuous training and awareness initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a procurement officer in a corporate structure;
- At least 2 years of people management experience;
- Proven experience in spend analysis;
- Experience in contract preparation and negotiations;
- Exposure to use and setup of Procurement systems;
- Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement;
- Strong communication and project management skills;
- Comfort in working in a fast-paced, continuously expanding environment;
- Ability to build and sustain vendor relationships;
- Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions.
