The Tenant Provisioning Team within the Identity and Access Management domain is dedicated to delivering a secure, governed method for provisioning and managing tenants within the Entra ID ecosystem. We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer with a strong background in distributed systems and the development of high-scale, mission-critical services. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will demonstrate technical leadership in designing robust architectural solutions, mentoring and guiding fellow engineers, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You will be adept at evaluating complex technical challenges, driving cross-team alignment, and advocating for best practices in security, reliability, and maintainability. Your experience will enable you to anticipate potential obstacles, propose effective strategies, and ensure successful delivery of collaborative features that impact millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large scale distributed software services and solutions with AI first approach.

• Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are: well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.

• Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users.

• Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability and monitoring for LiveSite.

• Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach.

• Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews. 


Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field 

•Technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

• Experience as part of a livesite oriented team taking part in on-call rotation

• Ability to work with global teams across multiple time zones. 

Qualifications - Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Ireland is € 99,800.00 - € 172,400.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
