About the Team
As a Principal Product Manager, you will join Workday’s Deployment Intelligence organisation, which is focused on transforming how Workday is implemented, configured, and deployed for customers. You will play a central role in shaping the product strategy, roadmap, and operating model for Workday’s Deployment Agent: an AI-powered implementation assistant that helps deployment teams understand customer context, interpret scope, gather and structure requirements, plan implementation work, identify risks, and, over time, support carefully governed automation. You’ll be a highly structured product leader who can operate confidently across Product, Engineering, Services, Partners, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and governance stakeholders. You’re comfortable in ambiguity, skilled at turning complex operational and customer needs into clear product direction, and motivated by connecting product capabilities to measurable deployment and business outcomes.
This role is a great fit for a Principal PM who combines strong product judgment, deep enterprise software implementation experience, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive alignment and execution across deeply cross‑functional teams.
About the Role
This role will help define the product strategy, roadmap, and operating model for Workday’s Deployment Agent: an AI-powered implementation assistant designed to help deployment teams understand customer context, interpret scope, gather and structure requirements, plan implementation work, identify risks, and eventually support carefully governed automation.
This role is a great fit for a Principal PM who combines strong product judgment, deep enterprise software implementation experience, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive alignment and execution across deeply cross‑functional teams.
Define and lead:
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for key areas of Workday’s Deployment Agent and broader Deployment Intelligence capabilities.
- Identify the highest‑value product wedges for reducing deployment friction, such as requirements intelligence, deployment planning, tenant/environment assessment, scope control, implementation guidance, and supervised automation.
- Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Services, Product, Customer Success, Partners, Sales, Finance, and governance stakeholders to understand deployment pain points, business priorities, technical constraints, and adoption needs.
- Translate complex deployment workflows, customer requirements, implementation methodologies, and commercial boundaries into clear product requirements and prioritised roadmap decisions.
- Develop product approaches that improve deployment speed, consistency, quality, and predictability while preserving human oversight, auditability, scope control, and safe deployment practices.Partner with Services and delivery teams:
- Partner with Services and implementation teams to understand current deployment motions, consultant workflows, requirements‑gathering processes, partner delivery models, and areas of repeatable manual effort.
- Define operating models for how Deployment Agent capabilities are adopted, governed, measured, and improved across Workday teams and approved delivery partners.
- Establish success metrics for product adoption and business impact, including reduced consultant effort, fewer clarification cycles, faster time‑to‑value, lower rework, improved deployment quality, partner productivity, and services margin impact.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders on packaging, pricing, value capture, and commercial guardrails for Deployment Agent‑enabled deployment motions.
- Guide product teams toward high‑value outcomes and OKRs that connect product delivery to measurable customer and business results.
- Communicate product direction, tradeoffs, risks, and progress clearly to senior leaders, technical teams, implementation stakeholders, and broader Workday audiences.
- Mentor and support other PMs in the organisation, helping raise the bar on structure, product judgment, stakeholder management, and execution discipline.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email [email protected].
Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
At Workday, we value our candidates’ privacy and data security. Workday will never ask candidates to apply to jobs through websites that are not Workday Careers.
Please be aware of sites that may ask for you to input your data in connection with a job posting that appears to be from Workday but is not.
In addition, Workday will never ask candidates to pay a recruiting fee, or pay for consulting or coaching services, in order to apply for a job at Workday.
