We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Finance Executive to manage end‑to‑end Irish payroll processing while supporting wider finance, compliance, and reporting activities. The successful candidate will bring strong technical payroll knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across HR, Finance, and external payroll service providers. An IPASS qualification is a strong advantage

What you'll do

Payroll Operations
 

  • Process, validate, and reconcile weekly and monthly Irish payrolls
  • Manage high volumes of payroll changes each cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Respond to employee queries relating to PAYE, USC, PRSI, BIK, holidays, and third party deductions
  • Complete manual payroll calculations when required
  • Set up and maintain payroll deductions including pensions, TaxSaver, Cycle to Work, VHI, loans, and savings schemes

Pensions & Benefits
 

  • Administer defined benefit and defined contribution pension payrolls for both active and deferred members
  • Liaise with pension trustees/providers and manage all pension related queries
  • Execute annual pensioner existence checks and related controls
  • Coordinate VHI renewals, process monthly change reports, and adjust premiums accordingly
     

Compliance & Statutory Reporting
 

  • Prepare salary certificates, social welfare forms, mortgage and loss of earnings documentation
  • Submit payroll and finance related statutory returns including ROS ERR, VIES, CSO reports, Kantar sales reporting and other required filings
  • Ensure full compliance with Irish Revenue, employment law, and internal governance requirements
  • Plan and complete payroll audits and maintain payroll risk and control documentation
     

Finance & Accounting Support
 

  • Prepare weekly and monthly payroll standard and accrual journals 
  • Upload payroll journals into SAP or equivalent ERP system
  • Complete payroll GL accounts and balance sheet reconciliations using Blackline or similar tools
  • Support statutory pension and payroll audits and year end finance activities in collaboration with the financial management accounting team


Stakeholder Management & Support
 

  • Work closely with central HR, Recruitment, Finance, Banking teams, and third party service providers
  • Prepare and arrange monthly third party payments and remittance advices and backup files sharing
  • Provide day to day operational support and supervision in the absence of the Payroll Manager and any other team members.
