PFA Technology is hiring an Operational Resilience Specialist for a contract position. 

PFA is seeking a strategically minded and technically capable Operational Resilience Specialist to strenghten resilience across mission critical healthcare services. This role will work closely with both corporate and clinical teams to clarify and enable resilience requirements, ensuring continuity of care and safeguarding the patient journey from referral to recovery. The successful candidate will bring experience in operational resilience, business continuity, and regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of frameworks such as NIS 2, DORA, and equivalent standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with Lead to develop and maintain continuity frameworks that support clinical and technical operations across hospital sites and digital infrastructure.
  • Conduct impact assessments and dependency mapping to identify essential services, support impact tolerance development and inform recovery priorities.
  • Collaborate with the CTO Office to translate resilience requirements into actionable controls and service-level expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with NIS 2 and other relevant directives, integrating regulatory obligations into operational planning and reporting.
  • Coordinate testing and validation of continuity and recovery procedures, including scenario exercises and post-incident reviews.
  • Monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities, advising on risk mitigation strategies that protect patient-facing services.
  • Support resilience-by-design principles across technology, infrastructure and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide resilience oversight and guidance on third-party risk management to ensure vendor alignment with resilience and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to audit and assurance processes, enabling evidence-based reporting to leadership and regulators.
  • Participate in training and awareness programmes to build organisational capability in operational resilience.
  • Track regulatory developments and ensure proactive alignment with evolving European and national standards.
  • Support organisational responses to Critical Incidents, working with stakeholders to maintain continuity of patient care and coordinate service recovery activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery within regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as NIS 2, DORA, or similar
  • Ability to bridge technical and business domains, translating resilience requirements into practical implementation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working across clinical, technical, and executive teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to continuous improvement and service protection.
