About the opportunity
Radio Products China is responsible for end-to-end product development, from concept studies to maintenance, for radio products developed in China. With around 1,000 engineers and developers across Beijing and Chengdu, we drive technology leadership and product competitiveness in Massive MIMO, Classic and Indoor radio products across Hardware, Software and Enclosure areas. Our work spans early concept studies, product systemization, solution design, integration and verification, product introduction and maintenance. We are an R&D organization recognized for execution excellence, accountability mindset and speak-up culture. By continuously investing in our people, securing world-class quality, and delivering industry-leading energy-efficient products, we create value for our customers and contribute to Ericsson's strategy.
What you will do
  • Work with the broader design community to understand system architecture and transmit-chain link budgets, and define power amplifier solutions that meet performance, form-factor, cost, manufacturability and delivery requirements.
  • Design and develop high-power amplifier modules and support their integration into radio products with digital pre-distortion techniques to meet regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Model and characterize linear and non-linear circuit elements used in high-power RF power amplifier modules.
  • Use advanced CAD and simulation tools for modelling, analysis, layout and schematic generation for power amplifier modules.
  • Apply analytical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturability issues at both power amplifier module level and radio system integration level.

The skills you bring
  • Master's degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Microwave Engineering, Wireless Communication or a related field.
  • Experience in power amplifier design, preferably in amplifier or transceiver design and verification for wireless applications.
  • Experience with ADS, HFSS, Sonnet EM and/or Momentum is considered an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with RF instrumentation and measurement techniques.
  • Experience in automating instrumentation and test routines using Matlab, LabVIEW or Python is considered an advantage.
