About the Role
Dyson is looking for a candidate to lead marketing and media activity in Ireland. Part of the GB&I marketing team, this candidate will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing activity that builds the Floor Care, Environmental Care, Beauty & Wearables category in market. The role will report into the Head of Marketing for GB&I and provide functional support to business teams (category leaders, retail activation team, communications, and commercial teams).
Devise category strategy & deliver on plans with executional excellence & complete P&L responsibility
Understand the category & business via in-depth consumer & category insights, digital & e-commerce landscape & retail understanding
Develop category strategy and portfolio/range plan based on in-depth understanding of categories
Develop and execute the plans in-line with marketing strategy to hit share growth, funnel metrics and P&L targets (top-line and bottom-line)
Manage the budget and annual planning process
End-to-end project management, ownership and delivery of NPD launches
Develop communication strategy and execute media plan
Own Ireland media strategy for all categories (audience understanding, audience mapping, media agency brief, recommendation to category leaders) that align with the category vision set by the Head of Category
Bring a strong point of view on the role of all media touchpoints to integrate into annual media strategy, best in class media execution, explore innovative new media channels to ensure cut through
Identify and activate retail media opportunities with key partners
Act as the main operational contact for agencies, managing daily operations and ensuring the timely delivery of planning & delivery milestones
Retail marketing & in-store execution
Partner with the Retail Activation Manager and Country Sales team to input into the retail strategy
Work closely with Country Sales Team to build and execute JBP activity with strategic retail partners alongside Retail Activation Manager
Work in partnership with regional Amazon/AMS teams to effectively activate in-market
PR: Draft and distribute press releases for key campaigns & launches, and support with media outreach and basic relationship management with relevant journalists/media
Influencer:
Influencer management & media partnerships
Gifting and seeding – editor/influencer seeding management to drive credibility
Coordinate updates for our social channels and influencer content
Provide logistical support for influencer/ambassador activities in Ireland
Events: Running events across Home and Beauty (e.g. influencer events and press days)
Measurement: Assist in monitoring media coverage, sharing key highlights with the team
Other/General
Build, develop and promote an effective team, working collaboratively with both the in-market and GB teams
Support in developing short, medium & long-term strategy for the market
Help with creation of product/proposition/ranging road-map in partnership with category & commercial teams
Drive competitor analysis to ensure appropriate business response
Be the first point of contact for insight into your market for internal stakeholders
About you
To succeed in the role, we expect you to have:
Minimum of four years of product or brand marketing & media experience, preferably in a FMCG/consumer technology environment
Strong desire to win and drive to ‘make things happen’
Local market experience & understanding
Entrepreneurial, be unafraid to try new things, able to deal with ambiguity, and willing to take risks
Team player, flexible, patient, and able to work cross-functionally, managing and motivating stakeholders
Strong understanding of both traditional and digital media, with experience in media strategy and campaign management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track and optimize key performance metrics
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project management skills
Commercial acumen to understand P&L impacts and drive marketing goals effectively
Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies and initiatives
Effective presentation skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
