Marketing Activation Manager

You manage market activation across your assigned markets, translating campaign and service line priorities into coordinated execution across events, sponsorship's, communications, digital, paid media and client engagement.

You will operate at the intersection of hands-on marketing, creative strategy, campaign integration and team leadership, bringing together the thinking and execution.

You will take a broader view of market activation, working across channels, stakeholders and delivery teams to connect activity, strengthen execution and ensure marketing is focused on driving growth.

You will work closely with the Market Activation Lead on priorities and investment, with Service Line Marketers on campaign requirements to deliver programmes effectively.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead integrated market activation, translating business and campaign priorities into joined-up activity across events, sponsorship's, digital, social, email, paid media, PR and client engagement.
  • Own market planning and prioritisation, managing the activation calendar, balancing competing demands and ensuring activity is properly scoped, resourced and delivered on time.
  • Contribute to annual marketing planning and strategy, bringing market insight, campaign recommendations, audience thinking and messaging input to help shape priorities and investment decisions.
  • Shape high-impact events, sponsorship and client programmes, defining the audience, business objective, activation approach and follow-up strategy to ensure activity delivers more than visibility alone.
  • Partner with Service Line Marketers and business stakeholders, turning commercial priorities and campaign strategies into relevant, effective activation within your markets.
  • Lead agencies, media partners, sponsors and vendors, setting clear briefs and expectations, managing delivery and ensuring work meets brand, quality and commercial standards.
  • Measure performance and improve effectiveness, tracking outcomes, maintaining strong CRM and campaign data, and using insight to strengthen targeting, investment decisions and future activity.
  • Build a strong test-and-learn agenda, identifying and piloting new channels, campaign approaches and demand generation tactics, including lead generation and account-based marketing (ABM).
  • Drive smarter ways of working, improving processes and using technology and AI to strengthen planning, targeting, optimisation and overall marketing efficiency.

Experience and Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years’ experience in marketing, campaign management or market activation, ideally within a B2B environment.
  • Strong experience delivering integrated marketing programmes across a range of channels such as digital, paid media, content, PR, partnerships, sponsorships, events and direct client engagement.
  • Broad marketing capability is important. This role suits someone who understands how multiple channels work together and can lead integrated activation rather than specialising in one individual discipline.
  • Strong programme management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, stakeholders and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of execution.
  • Experience leading, coaching or developing others. Previous direct line management experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management with the confidence to work with senior business leaders, agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial mindset, with an understanding of how marketing can support pipeline development, deepen client relationships and strengthen market visibility.
  • Comfortable using data, CRM, project management platforms and marketing technology to manage activity and assess performance.
  • Confident using AI tools to improve marketing planning, targeting, communications and productivity, while applying appropriate judgement and quality control.
  • Experience with PR agency management and media relations at a local or regional level.
  • Experience working in professional services, financial services or another complex, stakeholder-led organisation is an advantage.
