We are currently seeking a Manager, Commercial Finance to join our diverse and dynamic team at ICON. You will play a critical role in driving commercial performance across our organisation by supporting strategic financial negotiations and supporting enterprise-level commercial decision-making. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to manage key client relationships and optimize the financial framework for our services.

This is a highly visible role that blends financial expertise with commercial acumen making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Supporting commercial negotiations with strategic alliance clients to tailor enterprise-level agreements that meet their specific needs.
  • Providing high-quality, timely support to the Proposals team to ensure proposals are commercially sound and aligned with company objectives.
  • Collaborating with Finance Business Partnering teams to support the achievement of annual budgets across divisions.
  • Partnering closely with Legal, Business Development, and operational leadership teams on deal structures and client agreements.
  • Managing the integrity and accuracy of pricing tools and financial models to support decision-making.
  • Utilizing financial and operational data to provide insights that improve pricing, profitability, and performance.
  • Managing and developing a small team.

Your Profile:

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • 2-4 years of post qualification experience.
  • CRO or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, with exposure to pricing, procurement, and revenue proposal processes considered advantageous..
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with financial modelling tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and switch between strategic and tactical thinking.
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments including Executive leadership.
