Job Specification:
Contract Negotiation & Review
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, investment documentation, and vendor contracts.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to facilitate contract execution and ensure alignment with company policies and risk frameworks.
- Maintain and update contract templates and policy and procedure documents.
Legal Research & Advisory Support
- Conduct legal research on regulatory, corporate, and commercial matters relevant to Apex’s services in multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare concise legal reviews and summaries to support operational decision making.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the financial services and investment fund sectors.
Project-Based Legal Support
- Assist in the legal aspects of business and regulatory projects, new product launches, and corporate restructurings.
- Coordinate with external counsel where required and assist in managing external legal spend.
Governance & Compliance
- Support company secretarial and governance functions, including assisting with the preparation of board documentation.
- Assist in ensuring internal compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent;
- Admission to the Law Society of Ireland or another common law jurisdiction;
- PQE: NQ – 3 years.
Skills Required:
- Excellent drafting and negotiating of commercial contracts;
- Experience in investment funds and/or corporate services industry is preferred;
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and problem solving;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- An ability to work with a variety of teams and stakeholders across different jurisdictions;
- Proficient with MS office tools.
