With the assistance of a Fund Accountant, you will typically be responsible for the preparation/overseeing of a number of client portfolios (underlying accounting, financial statements preparation, regulatory requirements).
Key responsibilities:
- Working with the Fund Accounting team to ensure the completion of Net Asset Values (NAV’s) of client funds.
- Preparation of weekly and monthly NAV’s.
- Preparation of annual statutory financials statements.
- Calculation of fees and preparation of payments
- Reconciling bank and broker/custodian reconciliations
- Liaising with fund managers, brokers, and custodians to communicate information and resolve issues on a timely basis.
- Ensure that client responsibilities are managed effectively and to agreed client, best practice, regulatory and statutory deadlines.
- Assisting the external auditors to ensure the audit function is executed on a timely and efficient basis.
- Performing any additional responsibilities that may be required in the support of the on-going management and development of the division.
Skills Required
- Degree/A levels (or equivalent) and/or one- or two-years’ experience in an accounting/financial services role;
- Excellent work attitude, quick and willing learner and proficient team player.
- Ability to take initiative; eagerness to pay attention to detail and going the extra mile in all aspects of the role.
- Strong financial/accounting and analytical skills.
- Commercial, dynamic attitude and good communication skills.
- Able to work in a team and also autonomously.
- Able to set priorities, be flexible and highly accurate.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word , Outlook is an advantage.
- Strong work ethic, a proactive approach and can-do mindset.
