We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s network and datacenter infrastructure. The selected candidate will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of IT operations. This role involves managing day-to-day infrastructure support, performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis, monitoring system health, and implementing upgrades or patches as needed.
The engineer will also be responsible for backup and disaster recovery operations, access and configuration management, vendor coordination, and documentation of infrastructure components. Additionally, they will liaise with other IT operations and security teams to ensure compliance with policies and best practices, while proactively identifying improvements in system reliability and performance.
The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, monitor, and maintain the company’s local network, servers, and datacenter infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
Provide day-to-day support for hardware, operating systems, network devices, and storage systems.
Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for infrastructure-related incidents.
Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, and access management.
Carry out regular system health checks, patch management, and firmware updates.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Manage user access, permissions, and system configurations in accordance with company policies.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software upgrades, maintenance, and support.
Document IT infrastructure, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
Participate in infrastructure planning, capacity management, and continuous improvements.
Provide technical support to internal teams and assist with escalations from the helpdesk when needed.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and best practices.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support, network administration, or datacenter operations.
Proven experience with network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs) and Windows/Linux server environments.
Strong background in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and storage solutions.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
Knowledge of IT security practices and standards (firewall rules, patching, access control).
Experience working with vendors and service providers for support and upgrades.
Solid understanding of infrastructure documentation, change management, and ITIL processes (preferred).
Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, or VMware are a plus.
