Intern, Software Engineer

Position Overview

Join the team building the core infrastructure that powers Autodesk's cloud services. You'll be working on CloudOS, our cutting-edge Continuous Deployment (CD) platform used by our internal cloud engineering teams to deliver their software to our customers.

Over three months in our Summer 2026 Internship Program, you'll be embedded directly into our team and we'll support you with a dedicated intern mentor, who'll help you take the opportunity to influence the evolution of Autodesk's Platform and build out your technical and engineering knowledge. This is a hands on role, you will be provided training and will be expected to deliver a project which will contribute to our platform.

If you're excited to learn about and build robust developer platforms, automating complex workflows, and working with AI tools and open source software on the AWS Cloud using Terraform, Serverless.com, EC2 and container services like ECS and EKS at scale, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test features delivered through cloud services.

• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure applications are reliable and available.

• Write scalable, high-performance code.

• Ensure code is well-tested, readable, and maintainable.

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve tools and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).

• Experience writing software in Python.

• Familiarity with unit and integration testing.

• Interest in DevOps practices, architectures, and methodologies.

• Basic understanding of networking and security concepts.

The Ideal Candidate

• Exposure to large-scale cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS).

• Familiarity with cloud-native application development.

• Experience working with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.
