What You Can Expect:

Responsible for generating leads and setting new business and retention appointments for Outdoor Sales, assisting in acquiring, developing, and growing customer relationships and profitable revenue over the phone to allow the team to meet or exceed revenue and profit goals.

  • Make initial phone contact with customers to discuss their needs, introduces our services, quotes opportunities, builds and maintains ongoing relationships and increases business with customer over time
  • Work closely with Business Development Manager and Sales Manager secure new business
  • Constant follow up of all offers related to customers of Business Development Manager
  • Building long term relationships with existing accounts to analyse, retain and grow the existing business; Provide a high level of internal customer care
  • Identify & exhaust all opportunities for account development via a structured sales approach
  • Gain new leads and follow up
  • Ensure smooth transition of accounts from sales ownership to account management
  • Work with Business Development Manager to identify and qualify potential business opportunities
  • Set new business appointments for the Business Development Manager within the specified territories and record activity in CRM System
  • Ensure all sales activity (Meetings, Contact Reports, Opportunities and Leads) are reported within the CRM System
  • Taking part in all sales trainings provided and scheduled by Rhenus Air & Ocean
  • Ensuring the clean desk policy applicable within Rhenus Air & Ocean
  • Reporting dangerous situations for fellow people and organization
  • Effective cooperation in information and education regarding quality, safety, occupational health and safety matters and the environment

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 2 year experience within the freight, transportation or logistics industry
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
  • Articulate with excellent telephone manner; Comfortable making cold calls
  • Ability to work independently as well as under pressure in troubleshooting situations
  • Possess strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Strong service orientation
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM experience preferred
  • Positive attitude, and a friendly and professional manner when dealing with customers over the phone and via email. 
  • Strong work-ethic and integrity
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to think out of the box (Entrepreneur)
