How we make an impactJoin the Genetic Sciences Group (GS) Inside Sales team to boost dPCR, qPCR, and Sanger Sequencing businesses in your territory by collaborating with colleagues.
Responsibilities- Consistently and accurately lead the sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking. Coordinate resources and engage key customers to achieve annual sales targets.
- Develop and maintain deep current knowledge of genetic analysis markets, products, and buying practices. Apply product and application knowledge across the division's portfolio to optimally implement consultative and strategic selling presentations.
- Expand visibility of our dPCR, qPCR & Sanger Sequencing solutions to our customers. Capitalize on local marketing innovations to expand programs within the designated territory. Build and champion customer relationships through extensive cold-calling and prospecting. Understand our customer's goals, priorities, and challenges so that Applied Biosystem's solutions are best positioned to address customer needs.
- Collaborate effectively across a matrix environment and leverage Thermo Fisher’s breadth to serve customers and gain market share. Provide internal partners with business planning and development consulting to ensure effective strategies.
- Consistently apply tools, processes, and operational resources to enhance direct and indirect sales. Collaboratively monitor and impact partner sales pipeline. Champion innovations that enhance partner pipeline management.
Preferred candidate: Life sciences background, tech understanding, goal-focused, adaptable, organized, accountable, self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills.
Candidate profile- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. MSc or equivalent experience preferred. Concentration in Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry strongly preferred. Advanced Degrees are a plus but not a requirement – we have a mix of educational backgrounds on our team.
- Hands-on laboratory experience, and/or customer-facing experience is an asset as is a solid understanding of qPCR, Digital PCR, or Sanger sequencing technologies.
- Ability to travel to the US as needed for required meetings and customer visits is a requirement. This may include a variable work schedule to accommodate customer availability.
