Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS:• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent required;• Proven track record for performance and attendance in current position required;• Formal Lockout/Tagout training required;• 1-3 years of related work experience• Valid Driver's license and ability to travel between plants required;• Prior work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or equivalent an asset;• Comprehend the three main control factors of production plant: NG (no good parts), DT (downtime) and CT (cycle time);
CORE COMPETENCIES:• Attention to detail;• Approachable and able to communicate effectively;• Aptitude for mechanical and electrical equipment;• Strength and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems;• Self-motivated, ability to take initiative and follow through to job completion;• Strong team working skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:• Ability to work flexible hours and willing to work overtime, as required;• Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach;• Ability to lift max. 50lbs periodically;• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel on a regular basis;• Ability to work at a computer workstation (sitting or standing);• Ability to work in areas that may have slippery conditions;• Required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature;
THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE:• Training both in-house and off-site• Following a learning curve with continuous development.• Movement between plants to ensure cross training between all three facilities.
