ICON plc is hiring a Head of Global Corporate Communications to drive our global Communications, Reputation Management and Corporate Social Responsibility strategies.

This is a hands-on leadership role, directly partnering with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to shape ICON’s voice across markets, drive stakeholder trust and deliver communications to advance ICON’s mission, vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ICON’s global corporate communications strategy, aligned to business priorities and stakeholder expectations

  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on communication, reputation management, executive visibility, and crisis response

  • Drive internal communications strategy to ensure transparency, alignment and engagement across a global workforce

  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all channels, regions and stakeholder groups

  • Collaborate cross functionally with stakeholders and colleagues across our business to deliver integrated communications

  • Develop and leads a local (Ireland) corporate affairs and external stakeholder engagement programme

We are looking for

  • Extensive experience leading global corporate communications

  • Proven ability to partner with C-suite executives

  • A strategic leader with a hand-on approach, with strong execution capability and attention to detail

  • Deep understanding of communication channels, reputation risk, stakeholder engagement and executive communications

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, writing and storytelling skills

  • Data-driven mindset with ability to measure impact and optimise strategy
