How you will contribute:
- Lead EHS programs across all site operations, ensuring compliance with local and global regulations and Takeda standards.
- Lead and develop the EHS team and cross-functional collaboration across departments and contractors.
- Oversee environmental permits, emissions, waste, water, ISO certifications, and management systems.
- Drive EHS audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations including CAPA.
- Lead Emergency Response planning and team readiness.
- Support new product introductions through EHS impact and containment assessments.
- Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage EHS KPIs and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
In this position you will report to the Site Head Grange Castle.
What you bring to Takeda:
- University degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Management or equivalent.
- 8+ years of EHS leadership experience in pharmaceutical/biopharma manufacturing.
- Deep knowledge of Irish and EU EHS regulations and pharmaceutical production processes.
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence across all levels.
- Continuous improvement mindset and experience with regulatory audits and certifications.
