Job Description
Global Process Owners are accountable for the entire process, from start to finish, across all relevant locations and departments.
The Global Process Owner (GPO) - Quote to Cash is a senior strategic role responsible for the definition, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the end-to-end global Quote to Cash process. This individual will ensure the quote to cash and order management process is standardized, efficient, scalable, compliant, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The GPO will collaborate extensively with regional teams, IT, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and other stakeholders to drive global process adoption and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Process Design & Standardization:
Define, document, and maintain the global standard for the Quote to Cash process (from order entry, validation, processing, fulfillment coordination, to invoicing triggers).
Lead the design and implementation of harmonized OM processes across all business units and geographies.
Identify and implement best practices in Quote to Cash & Order Management, leveraging industry benchmarks and emerging technologies.
Process Governance & Control:
Establish and maintain global OM policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and dashboards to monitor process performance (e.g., order accuracy, on-time processing, cycle time, backlog management).
Ensure process compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Oversee process controls and risk mitigation strategies within the OM domain.
Continuous Improvement & Optimization:
Proactively identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve accuracy, and increase customer satisfaction.
Lead and sponsor global OM process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
Champion the use of technology (e.g., ERP systems, CRM, EDI, automation tools) to optimize OM processes.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all aspects of the global Quote to Cash process.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regional process owners, business unit leaders, IT business partners, and other key stakeholders.
Lead a global community of practice for Quote to Cash, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Represent the OM process in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
Change Management & Training:
Develop and execute change management plans to support the implementation of new or revised OM processes.
Ensure adequate training materials are developed and delivered to end-users globally.
Drive adoption and adherence to standardized global processes.
Technology Enablement & Integration:
Collaborate with IT to define business requirements for OM-related systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Salesforce) and tools.
Participate in the selection, implementation, and enhancement of technologies supporting the OM process.
Ensure technology solutions are aligned with global process standards.
Acquisitions:
GPO develops integration plans for acquisitions
Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of Process Experts, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance.
Define team objectives, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and mentorship.
Allocate resources effectively to support global OM process initiatives.
Basic Requirements
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, IT, or a related field.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Quote to Cash, Order Management, Customer Service, or Supply Chain Operations, with at least 3-5 years in a process ownership, process improvement, or senior management role.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex, large-scale Quote to Cash processes in a global environment.
Deep understanding of end-to-end Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes, with specific expertise in Order Management.
Strong experience with major ERP systems (e.g.,Oracle, SAP, Salesforce).
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving change in a matrix organization.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong project management and change management capabilities.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools
Team management
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Desirable:
Master’s degree (MBA or relevant field).
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
PMP or other project management certification.
Experience with specific Quote to Cash automation tools or platforms
