Location: Dublin (with global travel requirements)

Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a customer-focused Account Director to join JLL's Work Dynamics business. The successful Account Director will be accountable for JLL's overall contractual facilities management and project management performance globally for a fast-paced forward-thinking client.

What this job involves
  • Delivery of total facilities and project management services to the highest standard achievable across all global regions
  • Setting the standards for quality and efficiency at the client's sites worldwide
  • Implementation and enforcement of effective cost and quality controls across global operations
  • Ensure that all personnel involved with the client's Account work in full compliance with local company and labour laws across all jurisdictions, as well as JLL global policies and procedures and within the structure detailed for the account
  • Ensure that there is no downtime with critical services across any global location
  • Achieve a high level of Client satisfaction by providing excellent service globally and attend to client complaints and resolve them promptly regardless of time zone or location
  • Practice diligent preparation and follow-up across global operations, personally checking things out, being well prepared for client meetings, and providing timely delivery of services
  • Instill in staff across all regions the above values
  • Communicate clear goals and objectives to global staff and embody the strong cultural positive indicators that are jointly agreed between JLL and Client leadership
  • Lead, motivate and galvanize staff across diverse cultural contexts to achieve business targets
  • Help nurture quality teams across multiple regions that consistently achieve business targets
  • Provide guidance and coaching to staff across time zones and cultural boundaries
  • Reward hard work and positive results across the global team
  • Demonstrate commitment to the client's objectives across all markets
  • Keep abreast of developments affecting the client and its business in all operating regions
  • Understand the client's mission and goals from a global perspective
  • Coordinate and align regional delivery teams to ensure consistent service standards and operational excellence worldwide
  • Manage relationships with regional JLL leadership and client stakeholders across Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific
  • Drive global best practice sharing and knowledge transfer across the account
Sound like you? To apply you need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • Able to demonstrate a proven track record in delivering total facilities and project management solutions; handling complex global account structures, running multiple operational FM and PM teams across multiple locations, countries, and regions
  • Experienced in navigating global matrix business environments across multiple continents and time zones
  • Experienced in managing culturally diverse teams and understanding regional business practices, regulations, and market dynamics
  • Experienced in handling client and/or firm sensitivities knowing when to escalate with urgency, or how to de-escalate certain risks across different cultural contexts
  • Experienced in balancing the interests of the client with those of the firm on a global scale
  • Able to translate client needs into existing or new business growth opportunities across multiple markets
  • Able to recognize when to consult the client, versus being the client's advocate, ally, critic or defender of own service delivery team across different regions
  • Experienced in managing a global Account P&L with multi-currency considerations
  • Able to understand key technical processes and their impact on delivery of services across different regulatory environments
  • Able to demonstrate true leadership skills with the acumen to manage performance of global delivery teams
  • Experienced in global management reporting and synthesizing data from multiple regions
  • Able to demonstrate strong presentation, interaction and communication skills across cultures and time zones
  • Able to drive account delivery optimization and continuous improvement/transformation on a global scale
  • Confident with team/client interactions globally and uses emotional intelligence in dealing with diverse teams and clients
  • Able to bring clarity, perspective, and oversight to account teams across multiple geographies
  • Comfortable with significant international travel (up to 40-50% of time)
  • Experience working effectively across multiple time zones and managing virtual global teams
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships at the C-suite level globally
