Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Funds Business group as a Fund Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the fund accounting and administration of PIMCO's European public funds. You will work closely with our team of experts to ensure the smooth operation of our funds and provide exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the European Fund Accounting function for the EMEA public funds; manage relationships with third-party fund administrators and vendors to ensure seamless operations.

  • Coordinate the review of fund dividend distributions, including overseeing the distribution governance process to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Provide essential support for fund lifecycle events such as launches, mergers, and liquidations, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to internal standards.

  • Collaborate with Account Management and Business Development teams to support client onboarding, reporting, and strategic growth initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement by managing projects related to process enhancements, system upgrades, and procedural developments to optimise operational efficiency.

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding promptly to fund accounting queries.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance – preferred

  • Proven experience in Fund Accounting within the investment industry (minimum 5 years’ experience)

  • Mutual fund operations experience a benefit

  • Project management skills

  • Ability to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines

  • Attention to detail and constant focus on quality and client service

  • A high degree of expertise with Microsoft Excel

  • Microsoft VBA experience an advantage

  • Strong time management and prioritizing skills

  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills

  • Adaptable, flexible, and ability to work effectively within a team
