Role Overview 

We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the business through insightful financial analysis. 

The successful candidate will be involved in month-end reporting, balance sheet management, statutory accounts preparation, and audit coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to building scalable finance processes within a growing business. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own the month end close timetable ensuring an efficient and standardised close process. 
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financials for the Group ensuring financials are in accordance with relevant accounting standards and policies.  
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and commentary for senior leadership and board. 
  • Take ownership of key balance sheet areas including reconciliations, reviews, and resolution of outstanding items.  
  • Support complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition, capitalisation, intercompany transactions, and accruals. 
  • Support the preparation of annual statutory financial statements across relevant jurisdictions. 
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors during annual audit processes ensuring audit deliverables and supporting documentation are provided in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Support tax filings and compliance obligations across relevant jurisdictions. Liaise with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely submissions. 
  • Lead on implementation of new accounting standards and policies and ensure adequate documentation of the Groups Accounting policies. 
  • Maintain accurate accounting policies for the Group and ensure compliance. 
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support budgeting and cash flow forecasting as required 
  • Support colleagues to track financial performance against budget.  
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of financials. 
  • Identify enhancements and automation to improve current systems and processes, using AI tools as appropriate 
  • Work collaboratively across the team and Company and perform other ad hoc duties as required to support a scaling business. 

 

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) ideally with 2-3 years post qualification experience. 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across teams and support and influence senior financial and operational colleagues. 
  • A proactive growth mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Comfort in taking ownership of tasks and working off your own initiative. 
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel) and experience with management reporting systems.
