Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Cost Control and Analysis

  • Monitor and analyse operational expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize spending while maintaining operational efficiency.

  • Prepare detailed reports on cost trends, variances, and performance metrics for management review.

  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure cost control measures align with organizational objectives.


2. Airport Commissions and Concession Cost Management

  • Oversee financial transactions related to airport commissions and concession agreements.

  • Review and validate commission calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

  • Track concession costs, reconciling them against agreements to prevent overpayments or discrepancies.

  • Liaise with airport authorities and concession partners to resolve any financial disputes or issues.


3. Accounts Payable (AP) Management

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, addressing any payment-related queries.

  • Review and approve AP batches for accuracy and proper coding.

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, or unauthorised transactions.


4. Support the Group Financial Controller (FC) on Audit and Internal Controls

  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.

  • Provide auditors with requested financial data and supporting documentation.

  • Review and recommend improvements to internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

  • Monitor adherence to established controls and address any identified weaknesses.


5. Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, documenting adjustments as needed.

  • Maintain detailed schedules of reconciled accounts, supporting accurate financial reporting.

  • Collaborate with the wider finance team to address reconciliation-related issues.


6. Adherence to Company Policies, Procedures, and Safety Guidelines

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

  • Actively promote and practice workplace safety, adhering to established guidelines.

  • Take responsibility for personal health and safety while ensuring the safety of colleagues in the work environment.


7. Ad Hoc Duties or Reporting as Required

  • Support management with special projects or initiatives as needed.

  • Provide timely and accurate financial analyses or reports on ad hoc requests.

  • Participate in cross-departmental collaborations, offering financial insights to support decision-making.

  • Assist with the implementation of new systems or processes to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Team player with good communication skills, you will be highly motivated and comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced environment with a natural ability to adapt to change.

  • Knowledge of MS Office applications, proficient in excel.  

  • Knowledge of Car Hire or similar consumer rental business would be a distinct advantage.

  • Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) required.
