About the role

EdgeTier is currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team on a full time basis. This role will be pivotal in building out the EdgeTier finance function by establishing scalable and compliant financial processes that support strategic decision making and enable EdgeTier to grow.

This role will operate on a hybrid basis and be based out of our Dublin office.

What you'll be doing

As our new Financial Accountant, you will work closely with our Head of Finance and the wider commercial team to ensure financial operations run smoothly, that EdgeTier is set up to scale, and that financial data used to support company and commercial strategy is both accurate and available to the right stakeholders.

Some of your more typical responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Owning several aspects of the financial reporting process.

  • Owning several aspects of day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, management of operational systems (eg. Spendesk), customer invoicing, processing of vendor payments, and payroll.

  • Working with our Head of Finance to deliver insights to the commercial and leadership teams.

  • Completing frequent projects aimed at improving the efficiency of our processes and increasing the value added by finance to the wider company. The successful candidate for this role will be expected to both identify these areas for improvement and then deliver the changes.

  • Working with our outsourced professional service teams in both Ireland and Spain.

Who you are

You are a qualified accountant who is hands-on and proactive. To be successful in this role, you'll need to be comfortable working in an unstructured environment and show initiative in improving the value that finance delivers to the wider company.

You'll need:
  • To be a recently qualified accountant

  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (Lookups, pivot tables, charts etc)

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment

  • Experience working with external stakeholders

  • To be proactive and show initiative

Nice to have:
  • Experience using Xero

  • Big 4 Qualified

  • Experience creating financial dashboards

  • The ability to speak Spanish
