We are seeking a Finance Planning Accountant to be embedded with one of our customers in the aviation sector. You will work closely with the customer's finance and operational teams to deliver strategic financial planning, budget management, and cost control across their organisation.

Please note: this role operates on a hybrid model, with 2 days per week in our customer's Dublin office.

Required Experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • 5 or more years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting or planning roles
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Vendor and contractor management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks

Key responsibilities & duties include:

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including forecasting, variance analysis, and spend control
  • Process purchase requisitions, manage vendor relationships across multiple partners, and authorise expenditures within delegated limits
  • Perform invoice reconciliation, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records
  • Generate financial reports and analysis to support decision-making and stakeholder communications across the customer's organisation
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and process improvements using automation and system enhancements
  • Maintain financial compliance and control procedures across the department
  • Provide financial support and guidance to the customer's internal teams on budgeting and spend management

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with financial planning and forecasting software tools
  • Knowledge of AI or automation tools for process improvement
  • Experience in technology or IT department finance
  • Exposure to SAP 4HANA or next-generation ERP platforms
