Role Overview

The Finance Manager will be a key member of the finance team with responsibility for managing the company’s cost base, capital expenditure processes, and supporting external audit requirements. As an individual contributor, this role will combine strong technical finance skills with commercial insight to ensure accurate reporting, effective cost management, and robust governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and reporting of operating expenses, providing insights and challenge to ensure effective cost management.
• Manage the capital expenditure process, including business case review, approvals, tracking, and post-investment analysis.
• Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring timely provision of information and smooth audit execution.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, preparing and reviewing journals, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements, disclosures, and statutory reporting as required.
• Partner with operations teams to provide financial insight on cost efficiency and capital projects.
• Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and external reporting.
• Experience with external audits, either in practice (Big 4/top-tier firm) or industry.
• Exposure to capital expenditure processes and cost management.
• ERP system experience (SAP or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills.
• Manufacturing or contract manufacturing experience highly desirable.
