About the Position

Reporting into SVP Managing Director -  Investments, the purpose of this position is to provide extensive administration, diary management, and travel support to SVP Managing Director -  Investments, VP Managing Director of Investments.  The position holder also provides ad-hoc support to the wider Investments team based in Europe.  The role also covers all aspects of administrative support required for the improvement of client experience, and other projects assigned by the reporting manager.

Key Responsibilities

The role will be wide ranging and varied and will include:

  • To act as a gate keeper for all activities relating to the abovementioned executives.  Developing a strong understanding of the executive’s role within the organization and externally

  • Extensive diary management for SVP Managing Director – Investments and VP Managing Director of Investments

  • To act as the events manager for the Investments team, coordinating and executing both internal and market facing events

  • Meeting agenda coordination, minutes taking, and action tracking for the wider Investments team

  • Expense processing for the abovementioned executives

  • Manage complex / group business travel arrangements for the abovementioned executives and the wider team, including flights, visas, hotels, and ground transport

  • Inbox management if required by SVP Managing Director – Investments

  • Working closely with the wider support teams, contribute to RenRe’s core principles and all aspects of RenRe’s client experience

  • Provide ad-hoc backfill support for the Dublin Administration & Facilities Lead and the EAs as required

Candidate Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in comparable positions, ideally within the Insurance industry. Minimum 5 years’ experience

  • Experience in coordinating events; small to large scale

  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

  • High attention to details and organisation - Plan ahead and think strategically about the ‘bigger picture’.

  • Ability to handle and prioritise tasks for multiple stakeholders based on business criticality and time-sensitivity

  • A strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines, responding quickly while managing expectations of clients and stakeholders

  • Ability to work under pressure while adapting to changing needs and priorities

  • Team player who enjoys achieving shared goals and values input and expertise of others

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and take ownership of assigned areas

  • Excellent communication skills to build and develop relationships with external clients as well as internal stakeholders across all levels within the organisation

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
