Corporate function provides a wide range of services to the organization such as finance, internal audit, communications, security and human resources. Treasury sits within the Finance area. The Dublin and London Treasury Centre consist of various multi-regional functions including EMEA and Americas Treasury, Cash Management, Global Bank Administration, FX and Liquidity Risk Management, Capital Planning, Strategy & Innovation and several other areas including Global Risk & Compliance.
About the role
- In this role you will be responsible for the management of the EMEA Treasury Cash management team and activities in the region which includes among other things forecasting, funding, cash management and variance analysis.
- You will be expected to be a leader and subject matter expert in all applicable areas of Treasury – cash management, forecasting, funding, payment execution, variance analysis for the respective region
- Key focus of the role is acting as escalation point for the relevant Treasury team in respect of all Treasury activities providing guidance, subject matter expertise and support to the EMEA Treasury Assistant Director - Cash Management & GCM Operations as necessary, to ensure an effective support model across the Treasury function
- Pro-actively seek to challenge the status quo on the Treasury team and look to improve processes, systems and service standard and to implement best practice cash management procedures that reflects the needs of Treasury
- You will also manage the day-to-day operational relationship with AIG’s banking partners in the region, provide advisory support to the company payment processes and partner with Treasury Risk & Compliance team to ensure all activities and duties are carried out within the respective global standards and policies
- Additionally, you will be dealing with ad-hoc requests from various AIG businesses and going to be part of or lead various Treasury projects involving collaboration with IT, Finance and other Treasury functions
- Ensure all processes are documented and a robust BCP in place
- The role will involve a combination of teamwork and close collaboration with a small team of 4-5, as well as independent management of items
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in a large corporate/bank in a Treasury or cash management environment
- BA degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business related is preferred
- Lead, direct, and develop Cash Management team members
- Prior cash management experience, performing target balancing, monitoring of bank accounts, generating cashflow forecasts, FX and cash position reports
- Prior experience with Treasury Management systems and electronic banking systems
- Experience using Kyriba an advantage
- Proven ability to multi-task, and independently and effectively manage and prioritize a varied workload
- Demonstrated awareness of the importance of controls and risks, including ideally experience of responding to SOX audit requests
- Ability to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve items to completion without close oversight
- Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate information to stakeholders as needed, including to Senior Management, in both written and verbal format
- Prior experience with implementations of Treasury Technology Projects and process improvements
- Previous experience of people management including day to day oversight, holding constructive team meetings, regular 1-2-1 team meetings and mid-year and end of year appraisals
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI skills are desirable

- 8.30am to 5.00pm Irish Standard Time (IST)
