Title and Summary
Director, Software Engineering
Founded by Mastercard and IBM in 2018, Trūata specializes in privacy-enhancing technologies for privacy risk assessment, de-identification, and
true anonymization of data. We were one of the first companies in the EU to receive independently accredited ISO 27701 certification, the international standard for data privacy management. In 2023, Mastercard acquired full ownership of Trūata with Trūata continuing to operate as an independent entity within the Mastercard Data Insights & Analytics Organisation.
This role leads a software engineering team dedicated to developing cutting-edge browser-based applications. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead this dynamic team and drive the development and maintenance of our applications using Java, Angular, Spring Boot, Git, Confluence, and Jira.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the software engineering team, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of browser-based applications.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and QA, to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a senior software engineering leadership role, preferably as a Director or similar.
• Strong expertise in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, Git, Confluence, and Jira.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining browser-based applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
