Overview:
The Transfer Solutions group is responsible for designing, building, and operating the technology that powers Mastercard’s next-generation payment applications—domestic, Cross–Border, and Bill Payments.
We are looking for a Director, Software Engineering, to join the Dublin team, focused on building and running our Cross-Border payments platform. We build software that can be deployed on-premise or in public cloud. In this role, you will lead a team focused on building innovative products delivered at scale to global markets.
The Role:
• Lead a team of software engineers, with a strong focus on engineering principles that support security, scale and operability.
• Focus on delivering against program OKRs.
• Nurture and develop talent at all levels in the team.
• Creates a high-trust environment that encourages innovation and thoughtful risk taking.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with technology and product partners.
• Contribute to the Mastercard Move technology roadmap.
• Responsible for business case development and scenario planning leading to an effective decision-making process for new initiatives
All About You
• Expert understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise initiatives.
• Demonstrable experience in building highly resilient & scalable distributed systems, with experience in database, messaging & caching technologies.
• Progressively grown career with proven design and development experiences in multiple languages (primarily Java), secure coding standards, and vulnerability management.
• High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple high-priority demands while driving consistent results.
• Demonstrable experience of driving outcomes autonomously.
• Payment domain experience preferred.
• Experience deploying and running scaled platforms in public cloud (AWS/Azure) preferred.
