Reporting to the head of Digital Platforms & Transformation on the Brand, Innovation, and Content team, the successful candidate will be a hands-on expert responsible for both driving our Vertical AI transformation and establishing foundational best practices for our public-owned marketing sites. This role is perfect for a forward-thinking marketer who is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge AI to create business value while also building and maintaining a world-class, stable, and scalable digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to and execute the Vertical AI transformation roadmap, taking ownership of key workstreams and projects.
  • Identify, research, and evaluate critical vertical Marketing AI tools and platforms. Conduct in-depth analysis to determine the best solutions for the group, spanning custom-built agents, large platform integrations, and emerging technologies.
  • Design, manage, and execute strategic Proof of Concept (POC) projects to test and validate the business case for new AI-powered marketing capabilities.
  • Drive the hands-on implementation and optimization of AI tools. This includes configuring marketing agents, partnering with technology to integrate solutions, and fine-tuning performance to maximize impact.
  • Develop and manage frameworks to measure the performance and ROI of AI initiatives. Analyze results, generate actionable insights, and create reports for stakeholders.
  • Define, document, and implement foundational best practices for our public-facing, marketing-owned sites, focusing on performance, SEO, accessibility, security, and scalability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and steward for our digital platforms, including the upcoming Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) replatforming. Ensure all development and content activities adhere to established standards.
  • Proactively monitor site health and performance, identify areas for improvement, and work with cross-functional teams (Technology, Content, Design) to implement enhancements.
  • Provide expert support and contribute directly to the AEM replatforming project, ensuring best practices are embedded from the start.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience with or deep knowledge of AI's application in marketing (e.g., Generative AI, personalization engines, predictive analytics).
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation, analytics, or AI-powered marketing tools is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and past achievement in applying a customer mindset to shape solutions and approach to realize marketplace potential and meet financial goals.
  • Digital experience and analytic background preferable
  • Experience working with creative agencies for creative development/understanding of the creative agency process
  • Highly capable in driving change and innovation to deliver growth
  • Strong understanding of the architecture and infrastructure of modern public-facing websites.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Solid understanding of web best practices, including technical SEO, performance optimization, and security.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, analyze complex problems, and use data to make informed decisions and measure business impact.
  • A proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and a track record of successfully delivering digital projects and initiatives.
  • A strong collaborator with excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical teams to drive results.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
