The Depositary Company provides depositary services to Irish and Non-Irish domiciled funds and is responsible for overseeing funds to ensure that they are managed in compliance with regulatory requirements and the constitutional documents. To fulfil this requirement the Depositary liaises with Investment Managers, Global Custodians, Prime Brokers and Administrators on an ongoing basis.
What you’ll do:
The candidate will be required to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that SEI and its clients are in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the planning, coordination and execution of the due diligence program (including onsite visits as required) across Global sub-custodians, delegates, fund administrators and fund managers within required deadlines
Work closely with senior management to ensure continuous development of the due diligence program and its expansion in alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices and overall operational effectiveness
Conduct comprehensive due diligence assessments including review of questionnaires, supporting documentation and walkthroughs
Present due diligence results including any findings to senior management, internal governance forums and client boards, as required
Work closely with internal units to support effective execution of the due diligence process
Develop and maintain strong business relationships
Ensure team are kept abreast of all regulatory updates and processes are updated as necessary
Adhoc tasks / projects as required
What you will bring to the table:
A third level business or finance degree or professional qualification
5+ years’ experience in funds industry, ideally in the depositary area
Project management experience
P.C. proficient, particularly regarding Excel and Word
Fluency in English Language (both verbal and written) essential
