Demand Planning Lead – Limerick, Dublin or Belfast

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Demand Planning Lead – Limerick, Dublin or Belfast, a role which will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to maintain our core ethos here are Sysco – keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.

The successful candidate will be forecasting activities associated with customers and products to manage the interaction between Supply Planning and customer facing colleagues for their area of responsibility to provide optimum customer experience.  This role will create and manage the demand for their categories, incorporating statistics and business intelligence and other demand signals to improve service for the customers of the demand plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining system generated forecasts for a defined area of responsibility to drive continuous improvement to company set targets
  • Carrying out analysis of sales history, seasonal and forthcoming events or activities in order to generate an optimal demand signal
  • Manage forecasting processes at both detail and aggregated level, utilising the best fit statistical models
  • Coordinating with supply chain Stakeholders relative to forecasting strategy
  • Root cause analysis techniques to establish underlying causes of KPI shortfalls and implement improvement plans to rectify
  • Overlooks the governance of customer insights/business intelligence
  • Represents Demand Planning for projects and around the business as required
  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement
  • Subject matter Expert
  • Train New Starters Or Colleagues requiring support
  • Lead New/Lost Business Forecasting
  • Deputise for management
  • Drives Forecasting Best Practice
  • Takes Ownership of System/Process Error resolution


Requirements:

  • Excellent PC Skills and Systems Knowledge
  • Excel and knowledge of AX and MRP advantageous however training will be provided
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills required
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible, innovative, and creative in their attitudes to all issues and areas of the business
  • The ability to analyse and resolve problems effectively and efficiently
  • The successful candidate must also be an excellent team player and be willing to interact with both customers and suppliers
  • Candidate must be willing to work weekends, bank holidays and outside core office hours
