Job Description:

   

HPE Financial Services is looking for a Data Digital Transformation Manager (DTM) focusing on HPEFS’s needs in Data Governance, Master Data Management, and other related data projects.

This role will be part of the HPEFS Digital Transformation team and is expected to be an active participant and positively influence the HPEFS data strategies. It will report into Sales Operation Digital Transformation Manager (Bruce Monaghan).

As the Data DTM lead, you will develop an understanding of business needs and strategies to then translate them into the underlying data capabilities, processes, and policies that will be then deployed globally consistently and followed through by data quality and adoption metrics.

In addition, you will work closely with HPEFS Leadership to build trust in data, encourage the use of data-driven decision-making and enable digital innovations to improve the HPEFS data experience.

The role has three main focus areas:

  • Take on the role of Data Governance Lead for HPEFS including data quality metrics and monitoring

  • Act as project lead on all HPEFS Master Data initiatives and work closely with HPE Master Data teams

  • Be the SME for data within other Digital Transformation projects and lead other data projects as needed

This role will need to build strong relationships both with HPEFS DT and IT teams as well as the broader HPE teams (Sales Experience, Master Data, IT) to enable these end-to-end solutions. Collaborate with the rest of HPEFS to encourage a data-driven decision-making culture and maximize ROI of HPEFS’s data for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to see the big picture, identify key areas for improvement, and articulate a plan of action to enhance systems and processes, specifically focused on Data Governance and Master Data areas.

  • Relationship manager to the HPE Data teams, ensuring FS participation in the right initiatives and regression testing for all HPE updates.

  • Set up and manage processes to monitor and support ongoing data governance, data quality and master data initiatives.

  • Work with IT & Support for FS data governance and master data issues.

  • Business Intelligence related to Data Governance, Sales Ops and Master Data.

  • Data steward for FS Entity Master Data

  • Be a champion and role model for the use of HPEFS Data across FS and HPE.

  • IDS/Datahub Product Owner

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong project management and leadership skills - including the ability to build, organize, motivate, mentor, and manage a global virtual team that supports a diverse range of initiatives.

  • Exceptional analytical skills and a track record of using data analysis to successfully deliver value and trigger change - being equally comfortable getting hands-on and also being strategic.

  • Expert in data governance and master data management, including infrastructure links to other systems.

  • Technical knowledge: Ability to understand complex data models, advanced SQL queries, report writing, Collibra

  • Consulting and excellent influencing skills - ability to work with stakeholders across a variety of functions and levels of seniority.

  • A commercial mind - ability to understand the commercial imperatives behind the data and help drive strategy.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - particularly strong in explaining and presenting complex data and analytical findings to non-technical audiences.

  • An innovative approach - ability to generate and nurture innovative ideas and solutions and bring them to fruition.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Masters or Bachelors in Business or Science related field.

  • 5+ years related experience in Leasing/Financial Services is a must.

  • 7+ years strong experience in data governance and master data management.
