Shape your career with Citi in Dublin. By joining Citi, you will become part of a global organization whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Team/Role Overview

Our Custody Technology team is at the forefront of the industry's shift toward asset tokenization and digital market infrastructure. This is a highly collaborative, forward-thinking squad tasked with designing and integrating digital asset solutions into Citi’s world-class custody platform.

As a Custody Technology Analyst, you will collaborate daily with global product managers, blockchain engineers, enterprise architects, and operations specialists. You will work on cutting-edge initiatives that define how institutional clients securely hold, settle, and service digital assets. This role offers the unique challenge of working with emerging, fast-evolving technologies while maintaining the rigorous security, scalability, and resilience of a Tier-1 global bank.

What you’ll do

  • Technical & Functional Analysis: Conduct deep technical analysis of business and functional requirements, translating them into robust, developer-ready specifications and system designs.
  • Systems Integration: Analyze, map, and communicate the downstream impacts of integrating new digital asset and blockchain systems with Citi's existing global technology stack.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Risk, and Operations to design and deliver a cohesive target architecture and operating model.
  • Proactive Delivery & Risk Management: Drive project tasks independently, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks or delivery risks, and communicating them early to ensure timely project execution.
  • System Evolution: Design and implement modifications within existing global custody applications to seamlessly support digital asset use cases, tokenization, and smart contract execution.
  • Architecture & Design Contribution: Contribute actively to system architecture discussions, advocating for modern, clean, secure, and highly scalable design patterns.

What we’ll need from you

  • Technical Foundation: Proven experience in a technical role such as Software Engineering, Technical Systems Analysis, or Solutions Architecture.
  • Digital Asset Domain Knowledge: A strong conceptual and practical understanding of blockchain, DLT networks, smart contracts, tokenization, and digital custody.
  • Modern Architecture Design: Hands-on experience working with modern, high-throughput microservices, event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, pub/sub), and RESTful APIs.
  • Enterprise Resilience: Experience designing, developing, or supporting mission-critical, highly resilient, and fault-tolerant enterprise systems.
  • Financial Services: Background in financial services, with preferred exposure to securities services, custody, clearing, or settlement systems.
  • Global Team Experience: Proven ability to work effectively in virtual, diverse, and cross-functional global teams.
  • Strong Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical business partners.
