About Wayflyer

Today's small businesses need a capital provider that keeps pace with their growth ambitions. Traditional financing options are slow, cumbersome and often out of reach. That's why we built Wayflyer.

Our technology allows us to assess businesses in minutes, generate financing offers that reflect their growth potential and send funds in as little as 24 hours. To date, we've deployed over $6bn to thousands of businesses worldwide, backed by Tier 1 banks like J.P. Morgan.

You'll be collaborating with ambitious colleagues from around the world. We have offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin and Sydney.

The Challenge

Wayflyer moves fast. We fund eCommerce businesses at the speed they need to grow - and to do that responsibly, we need people who can look beyond a spreadsheet and see the business behind the numbers. This role exists because great funding decisions aren't just about data - they're about judgement. We need someone who can develop both.

What You'll Actually Do

You'll dig into the story behind the numbers - analyzing the financial and non-financial performance of new and existing customers to understand what's really driving their business, and how much risk Wayflyer should take on to fund their growth. That means getting on the phone with customers directly, hearing about their business models and funding needs from them, not just from a spreadsheet.

You won't just inherit our processes - you'll work with management to build and test new ones. You'll get across our loan portfolio, understanding how we manage it, what good looks like, and how we make the call to exit a risky relationship. And because this role touches sales, ops, and pretty much every team in between, we expect you to use that access - connect dots, ask questions, and show up in rooms beyond your own.

What This Role Could Turn Into

Analysts at Wayflyer don't stay analysts for long if they don't want to. This function sits at the intersection of finance, risk, and commercial strategy - people who come in here have gone on to lead underwriting decisions, manage portfolio strategy, and step into senior roles across the business. The trajectory is real, and it moves fast.

Who Thrives Here

You're the kind of person who reads a set of accounts and immediately wants to know what's behind them. You ask questions most people wouldn't think to ask. You're comfortable presenting a recommendation in a room where people will push back - and you welcome that. You're not looking for a narrow lane. You want to understand the whole picture.

You probably haven't done this exact job before. That's fine. We're hiring for how you think, not what you've already done.

We Hire for Range

You've completed (or are close to completing) a degree - Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law, or Computer Science all work here - and you've got a strong academic record you can speak to, not just list. More than that, you're genuinely curious about credit and risk, and you're comfortable leading a conversation, whether that's in a meeting, on a call, or in front of a room that's about to push back on your recommendation.

If you can already read a set of management accounts, work in Excel or SQL, or you're partway through a professional finance qualification, that's a head start - not a requirement.
