This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to build broad in-house experience within a fast-paced global payments business, supporting commercial, corporate, litigation, projects and operational matters across Ireland and the UK.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers and cross-functional stakeholders, including commercial, product, risk, compliance, tax, finance and operations teams. The role will suit a proactive, practical and detail-oriented lawyer who is keen to develop in a supportive in-house environment and contribute to the delivery of legal advice that enables business growth while managing risk appropriately.

What You’ll Own

  • Support the drafting, review and negotiation of a range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, partner, technology and intra-group arrangements.
  • Support dispute, claims, debt recovery, insolvency or enforcement-related matters as required.
  • Provide practical legal support to internal stakeholders on day-to-day business queries, escalating complex or high-risk matters where appropriate.
  • Support legal input on product, regulatory, operational and strategic projects.
  • Work with compliance, risk, data privacy and regulatory colleagues to help ensure legal advice is aligned with applicable laws, internal policies and business requirements.
  • Assist with legal research, horizon scanning and preparation of briefings on relevant legal and regulatory developments.
  • Help maintain and improve legal templates, playbooks, trackers and processes to support efficiency and consistency across the legal function.
  • Assist with tax and corporate governance matters, including board and committee support, entity management, approvals, filings and maintenance of corporate records.

What you’ll bring

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland, England and Wales, or another relevant common law jurisdiction, with 0–3 years’ PQE.
  • Strong academic background and training from a reputable law firm, in-house legal team or equivalent legal environment.
  • Exposure to commercial contracts, corporate, financial services, technology, fintech, payments or regulated industries would be advantageous.
  • Clear, concise and practical communication style, with the ability to explain legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Good judgement, attention to detail and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Collaborative with a proactive and commercial approach to problem solving.
  • Comfortable working in an international business with cross-border stakeholders and matrixed teams.

What we offer

  • Exposure to a broad range of legal, commercial and regulatory matters within a global fintech payments business.
  • The opportunity to work closely with experienced in-house counsel and senior business stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, supportive and fast-paced environment where you can develop your legal, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
  • Meaningful involvement in projects that support innovation, customer growth and operational excellence across the payments ecosystem.
  • A hybrid working model based in Dublin, with an expectation of working from the office three days per week.
