Cloud Project Manager

PFH Technology are currently looking for a Cloud Project Manager to join our growing team.

Role Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of cloud projects across multiple client environments, with a strong focus on AWS and Microsoft Azure. Projects may include application migrations from on-premise environments to cloud platforms, the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions, technology upgrades, DevOps enablement, and operational improvement programmes. The role requires strong client-facing project management capability, the ability to coordinate technical teams and stakeholders, and the discipline to ensure projects are delivered to agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and commercial commitments.

Location: Remote – with very occasional travel to client sites across Ireland required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of AWS and Azure cloud projects across a number of client environments, ensuring delivery is aligned to agreed scope, timelines, budgets and quality expectations.
  • Lead project delivery for cloud migration, cloud-native solution implementation, technology upgrade, DevOps implementation and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Chair client project status meetings, providing clear updates on progress, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions and next steps.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, action trackers, meeting minutes and decision records.
  • Write and support the production of Statements of Work, ensuring scope, assumptions, deliverables, effort estimates, dependencies, exclusions and acceptance criteria are clearly defined.
  • Arrange and coordinate internal and client-facing project meetings, ensuring agendas are issued, actions are tracked and meeting minutes are produced promptly.
  • Manage client stakeholders, technical teams, third-party vendors and internal delivery resources to maintain momentum and ensure effective project governance.
  • Identify, manage and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests, ensuring appropriate mitigation and resolution plans are in place.
  • Perform quality assurance on project deliverables, ensuring outputs are complete, accurate, fit for purpose and aligned to agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate project handover into operational support, ensuring documentation, knowledge transfer, support processes and service readiness activities are completed.
  • Provide concise reporting to internal management and client stakeholders, highlighting project performance, delivery risks and decisions required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience managing IT, infrastructure or cloud projects in client-facing environments.
  • Understanding of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure project delivery, including cloud migration, platform implementation, cloud-native solution delivery and technology upgrade projects.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or a portfolio of work across different clients, teams and priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with client sponsors, technical teams, vendors and internal management.
  • Strong written communication skills, including experience producing Statements of Work, meeting minutes, project reports, action logs and governance documentation.
  • Good working knowledge of project governance, risk management, issue management, change control and quality assurance processes.
  • Self-motivated, organised and delivery focused, with strong judgement, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Relevant project management accreditation such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or Scrum certification is desirable;
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals would be beneficial.
