Do you want to see your model actually ship? Talk to humans outside your data science team? Watch your analysis escape the shared drive and turn into a decision — this week? Sounds like a fairytale, but stay with us.
At Fixify, data scientists sit with Product and Engineering, not adjacent to them. Your work shows up in experiments that launch, models that run in production, and decisions that get made this week (not next quarter). We use AI to handle IT support at scale — which means we need people who can tell signal from noise, know when to trust a model, and know when not to.
This is a career-level role. You won't be thrown in alone. You'll learn from senior data scientists and managers who'll push your thinking and help you grow. But you’ll own real work that shapes real decisions. And at a startup, you'll see the impact … fast.
What we can do for you- Give you space to learn, ask questions, and grow your independence over time.
- Put your work directly in front of the people building and shipping the product.
- Help you understand why we measure things the way we do, not just how.
- Surround you with teammates who care about correctness, clarity, and doing things well.
- Let you see how your analyses influence experiments, features, and customer outcomes.
- Turn product questions into testable hypotheses and analysis.
- Turn problem statements into concrete analytical steps using Python and SQL.
- Evaluate model performance and spot when something's
- degrading or misbehaving.
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Data Engineering to understand requirements and refine your research based on feedback.
- Produce clean, well-documented notebooks and code that others can understand and build on.
- Learn Fixify’s existing data pipelines, models, and workflows — and use them well.
- Improve your work over time by taking feedback seriously and applying it thoughtfully.
- Around 1–3 years of hands-on experience working with real-world data in a product, analytics, or data science environment.
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis.
- Familiarity with common data science tools like Pandas, NumPy, and basic modeling or visualisation libraries.
- A solid grasp of fundamental statistics such as descriptive statistics, basic hypothesis testing, and simple regression – not just the formulas, but when to use them and what assumptions you should follow.
- Experience cleaning and validating messy data, and the instinct to ask “Why does this look weird?”.
- A basic understanding of machine learning concepts and when they might be useful.
- Comfort working with version control and reproducible analysis practices.
- Clear communication skills and the confidence to ask clarifying questions when things aren’t obvious.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in learning more about Fixify’s product and customers.
